FAQs
It varies depending on the trip but we like to keep our group sizes small so all our single parents and the kids have the opportunity to get to know each other. Our normal group size is approximately six families.
There will be some group activities organised as part of your trip but you will not be required to take part. We do, however, strongly recommend that you join in – making friends with our single parents is all part of the Outnumbered Holidays experience!
Our ‘Families’ holidays are only for single parents to come along with their children. We do however, run ‘Mums Only’ holidays which you are more than welcome to join if you need a kid-free break!
Each holiday is different but we try to make our trips suitable for kids of all ages as much as possible. Our trip itineraries contain a lot of detail of what each day involves so we suggest parents read over the materials to ensure it suits their child – particularly looking at travel times. If you have concerns about a particular holiday or activity, contact us.
We do not make flight bookings but may give you recommendations of suitable airlines and flights.
Our Booking Confirmation will specify the deposit that we require in order to confirm your booking and the applicable cancellation and travel amendment rules that will apply. Once the deposit is paid, we will confirm your booking.
Our standard cancellation policy is as follows:
- A booking cancelled more than 4 weeks prior to departure – $100 per person.
- A booking cancelled less than 4 weeks but more than 2 weeks prior to departure –
50% of the total cost of the travel products or package. - A booking cancelled less than 2 weeks before departure – 100% of the total cost of the travel products or package.
If you request an amendment to a booking request, after we have issued a Booking Confirmation, then we will use all reasonable endeavours to alter your booking as requested. If we advise you that your amendment is not available then you may cancel your booking, subject to the cancellation policies mentioned above.
To avoid you incurring loss as a result of your travel, we have a strict policy that all of our clients (and their co-travellers) engaging in international travel must hold appropriate and adequate travel insurance. We also strongly recommend travel insurance for domestic travel. This can be insurance of your choice or we can refer you to a supplier of travel insurance or arrange travel insurance for you at your cost. We reserve the right not to accept a booking request or not to make a booking for international travel for any client who indicates that they will not to take out travel insurance or who has failed to provide evidence of their travel insurance when requested by us.
